Virtual Tai Chi for Health and Balance

Tai Chi is an enjoyable exercise that can improve balance, relieve pain, and improve health and ability to do things. It is a slow exercise that is easy to learn and good for all ability levels. It helps people reduce stress and feel better. To safely and effectively learn the movements, participants are strongly encouraged to attend a minimum of 12 sessions. Participants must be able to join a Zoom video meeting with a webcam enabled; one on one technical support is available. Before class begins, your program instructor will contact you directly. This program is provided by Spectrum Generations.

Before class begins, your instructor will contact you to provide an introduction to the program and an opportunity to ask questions. Your instructor will review safety considerations and policies regarding virtual programming, as well as provide the Zoom link to the virtual classroom. To safely and effectively learn the movements, participants must be able to join a Zoom video meeting with a webcam enabled; your instructor is available to provide one on one technical support. We strongly encouraged all participants to attend a minimum of 12 sessions.

Better Health Now

This program is designed for people who may have chronic health conditions like arthritis, heart disease, asthma, Lyme disease, or COPD. This program helps empower adults to address and better manage their health issues by increasing self-efficacy, improving knowledge, developing positive behavior change, and improved self-management. Topics include communication, decision making, problem-solving, healthy eating – and so much more! Prior to class starting, we’ll mail you the participant tool kit, which includes a book, booklet, and companion pieces. This program meets telephonically or through Zoom for approximately 30 minutes, once a week for 6 weeks. Group and one on one sessions available – your instructor will contact you directly to schedule a reoccurring timeframe.

This program was designed for people with type 2 diabetes to learn a variety of day-to-day self-management skills to actively manage their diabetes by increasing self-efficacy, improving knowledge, and developing positive behavior change. This program is ideal for people who are experiencing a wide range of persistent pain conditions, such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, and existing injuries or disabilities.
