Class size 12-16 (must be an even number) students

Location: Cohen Center, Hallowell

In this 8-week course, we are building on last Spring’s introduction for people new to the great game of bridge. They are now hooked and we are excited to offer the next course.   This time students will learn about Preemptive Opening bids and Responder’s actions, Overcalls and Advancer’s actions, Takeout Doubles and responses, and the Stayman Convention and Jacoby Transfers after partner opens in 1 No Trump.

All bridge players with an understanding of opening bids in a Major suit and a Minor suit and how to respond are welcome. We will be teaching from Audrey Grant’s Bridge Basics 2 Competitive Bidding book, which is the American Standard Bridge played in most countries today.

Classes will begin on September 18 from 1:00-3:00 at the Cohen Center in Hallowell. Cost for the course will be $15.00, which includes the book. There will be a $3.00 fee per person each week for use of the Cohen Center, payable at the check-in desk.

Class will be limited to 16, so register early!
