In this course students will use Audrey Grant’s latest text, Bridge Basics 4 – Play of the Deal. Previous classes in the Bridge Basics series have emphasized bidding, while this fourth book focuses on the play of the hand, making this course appropriate for both new and advancing players. Nuances of how to correctly identify sure tricks and how to establish extra tricks will be examined through promotion, length, and the finesse. Related topics will include entries and links, the holdup play, blocking and unblocking, estimating and minimizing risk, and exploiting useful information provided by the opponents.
