Shoden classes in Gendai Reiki-Ho

Gendai Reiki-Ho was created in Japan by Hiroshi Doi who has only two teachers between himself and Mikao Usui the founder of the original Usui Reiki Ryoho. Gendai Reiki embraces the original Usui Reiki Ryoho in Japan as it can weave the piece of universal energy to which Mikao Usui connected in 1921 into all areas of life. Barnes completed the teacher’s level in-person with Doi Sensei (honorable teacher) in 2002 and teaches as it was created. In the 1990s Barnes completed the master level in styles of Reiki that changed as it crossed the oceans, hence she knows the difference between those practices and Japanese styles that came directly through a Japanese lineage, such as the URR Gakkai founded by Usui Sensei.

Shoden means first teachings. Along with learning factual history, students are guided through techniques, exercises, and meditations, which focus on self-healing, self-cleansing, and self-growth. When you heal yourself you heal your family, those around you, and our world.

Each student receives a unique manual not available in stores, and must complete all 6 classes to earn a certificate of successfully meeting all the requirements of Shoden (Level I) in Gendai Reiki-Ho.

Gendai Reiki-Ho Shoden

Roberta R. Barnes is Gendai Reiki-Ho Shihan (teacher of high standing/master instructor), Gendai Reiki Healing Kyokai Shihan, Komyo Reiki Kai Shihan, author, and speaker. After years of studying Usui Reiki, in 2002 Barnes completed the highest level in Gendai Reiki-Ho in person with its creator, Hiroshi Doi, and in 2003 completed the highest level in Komyo Reiki Kai in person with its creator, Hyakuten Inamoto. Each of these Japanese teachers lives in Japan and has only two teachers between himself and Mikao Usui, creator of the original Usui Reiki Ryoho. Barnes honors her Japanese teachers by teaching as the styles were created in Japan; she does not include practices from other healing modalities.
