Have you ever had questions about the criminal justice system, such as how does it operate, who the actors are, or where do those crime figures originate? This course is designed to answer those questions and others. The instructor will provide you with information about the three components of criminal justice – the police, courts and corrections. She will also discuss laws surrounding those components. The instructor will provide printed information about the subject matter along with copies of any powerpoint slides used. She also will use short videos to illustrate issues and ask discussion questions.

In this course, students will learn about these issues and others and have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussions about the criminal justice process. The instructor will provide all necessary materials or refer students to online sources.
