All levels are welcome. Eighty-five percent of this class will be hands on sketching and drawing. Fifteen percent will be discussing the following topics: aesthetic theory, art criticism and composition.

Bring a sample of your creativity (a photo, a poem, a sculpture, a drawing, a craft project or a baked goodie) and an open mind.

Also bring a 9 X 12 (or larger) sketch book or any recycled paper and drawing supplies. Stress free drawing doesn’t require precious materials.

Less Stress Drawing

Helga Heyck has a BS and MS in Art and Education, She taught Art at the High School level for 16 years and has run two businesses: Stetson Pottery and Helga’s Art Workshops. She has been a Maine resident for 50 years and an art teacher for 30 years.

More recently Helga has enjoyed: gardening, rescue dogs, outdoor sports, her childhood piano, cooking, making more mess with less clean up, travel, grandkids, a library book group, Coda Chorus, serving on the board of ALIA, (Annabessacook Lake Improvement Association), painting the entire Yellow House and YouTubes about astrophysics and Not having a smartphone!, birdwatching, butterflies, and Jack in the Pulpits.
