Barbara Helen Baker has been teaching acting at all levels from ages 7 through seniors. She taught senior oral history theatre here in the past, which resulted in public performances; and for seven years, she taught acting to high school students at The Public Theatre in Lewiston. In 2019 Barbara Helen formed the Colonial Theatre Youth Troupe, and ran it for a couple of years. She taught acting for adults at The Dallas Theater Center; college students at Lon Morris College and UT at Tyler, Texas; and high school students at Providence High School in San Antonio. She has also directed Grease and Once Upon A Mattress for Johnson Hall in Gardiner, The Matchmaker at Maranacook Community Theatre and El Grande de Coca Cola, Dead Man Walking, Annie, Electra, Someone Like Me, A Midsummer night’s Dream and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, among others.
