The class will examine some of the stories of those who shaped this important part of the American story. And we will look at how popular culture has shaped our understanding of their lives. Facts v. Fiction…you be the judge.

Mike Bell loves American history! With a master’s degree in both history and teaching, and an undergrad degree in political science, he has enjoyed a varied career in teaching and historical interpretation. Mike serves on the board of the Washburn/Norlands Living History Center. He is currently the president of the Chamberlain Civil War Round Table.
