Spanish 2.75

Instructor: Diane Dionne

Mondays • 8 classes • 3/18-5/13 (No class 4/15) • 10:00 AM-12:00 PM

Class size 2-10 students
10 seats remaining
Location: Zoom only

This Zoom class is a continuation of Spanish 2.5. We will begin with Chapter 35 of the “Basic Spanish” text from McGraw-Hill’s “Practice Makes Perfect” series. We will complete the reading book “Soñadores” by Veronica Moscoso, from the Veromundo “Spanish Easy Reader” series. Ideally, students will obtain both books by the first day of class. Students will write original material to share with the class and converse in Spanish. We will also listen to audio featuring native Spanish speakers. The class assumes basic knowledge of Spanish grammar (i.e., sentence structure and present tense verbs and some familiarity with past tense verbs).

*Books available on Amazon or from Barnes and Noble.

Diane Dionne received her BA in education from Illinois State University with a French major and a Spanish minor. She received her MA in French, also from ISU. She also completed a 6-week summer program for American teachers of Spanish at Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico. Diane has had many wonderful opportunities to experience family life and local culture with friends and acquaintances in Mexico and Spain.
