Corley Anne Byras was raised by parents who were married during the depression. Two things they taught her were to be frugal and to do service for others. In 1962 she graduated from Muskingum College, New Concord, Ohio with a BS in education and a major in religious education and has been an educator ever since. Being married to an enlisted man and raising four children, it was a necessity for her family to be frugal. While her husband was stationed at Pease AFB, she co-chaired the base thrift shop. For the past two years, she has volunteered at the Andwell Thrift Store in Augusta with the hopes that those in the area would benefit from shopping there and at the same time, funds would be earned for Hospice.
