The earth has constantly changed through time and is still constantly changing. Learn how earthquakes, volcanos, plate tectonics, continental drift, the ice age and other geological processes have transformed our planet. The course will also highlight significant historic volcanic events and significant earthquakes, such as the Alaska earthquake of 1964.Â
General geology topics such as rock types, minerals, gemstones and fossils will be discussed.  Â
Throughout the course there will be an emphasis on geological processes that have affected Maine.
