An in-person Spanish 1.5 class is also available on Wednesdays.

This Zoom class is the third semester of a basic intro to Spanish. We will use the McGraw-Hill Practice Makes Perfect: Basic Spanish book, beginning with Chapter 13. We will continue to focus on pronunciation and expanding students’ knowledge of basic Spanish vocabulary and grammar. Students will write original material in Spanish to present in class. We will do more reading and listening to recordings of native speakers.

Classroom

Diane Dionne received her BA in education from Illinois State University with a French major and a Spanish minor. She received her MA in French, also from ISU. She also completed a 6-week summer program for American teachers of Spanish at Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico. Diane has had many wonderful opportunities to experience family life and local culture with friends and acquaintances in Mexico and Spain.
