This is an in-person class. A Zoom class is also available on Mondays.Â
This class is semester 4 of a basic intro to Spanish. We will begin with Chapter 19 of the McGraw-Hill Practice Makes Perfect, Basic Spanish book. We will continue to focus on pronunciation and expanding students’ knowledge of basic Spanish vocabulary and grammar. Students will write original material in Spanish to present in class. We will read El Pequeño Angel de Colombia by Veronica Moscoso. Students will also learn more about verbs in the past tense; work in the textbook is in the present tense.
We welcome newcomers – from last semester’s Spanish 1.50 Zoom class or others with a basic knowledge of Spanish and an interest in learning more!

Diane Dionne received her BA in education from Illinois State University with a French major and a Spanish minor. She received her MA in French, also from ISU. She also completed a 6-week summer program for American teachers of Spanish at Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico. Diane has had many wonderful opportunities to experience family life and local culture with friends and acquaintances in Mexico and Spain.
